A lovely pair of art pottery vases, decorated in slip coloured glaze, these are really attractive vases and would decorated any shelf. They are potted in an ochre stoneware or Terracotta, the form is meiping. The base marks only say 'Foreign', this would normally indicate a manufacturer in Germany, Austria or Eastern Europe. I could however also indicate an oriental, far eastern maker, Japan for instance.
One of the vases has has damage around the rim, this has been repaired well, but still can be seen. This does detract slightly from the vases, however, does not fully take away, the visual impact of brightly impactive decoration. The undamaged vase is just that, and in excellent condition.
They both stand 20cm with a top diameter of 10cm.
