Staffordshire figure of 'Jobson' the cobbler, reportedly made by a number of companies in the Staffordshire area through the early to mid 19th Century. This figure is in very good condition, there are a couple of minor firing faults on the back of the seat, and a small one on the base as shown. There are a couple of tiny nibbles around the base edge, none of these detract from the overall look of a lovely figure in good condition.
He measures 16.5cm tall and the base square is about 8.5cm across.
