A Shelley Mug with the Cambridge University sheild on the front, the sheild has four lions around a white cross.
The base is stamped 'Late Foley'. This is a phrase employed by Shelley pottery for several years 1910-1916 while they converted their name and clientelle to new products stamped with the shield of quality.
This is a lovely item, there is a hair crack from the lip to about halfway down and there is minor wear on the gold rim. But these do not detract from what is a lovely item.
It measures just over 7cm tall with a diameter of just under 7cm.
