Wonderful saucer in blue and white, made by Rogers of Longport, Staffordshire in transfer print, the pattern entitled 'The Elephant'. This pattern was produced between 1810-1820 and in fact Rogers ceased production in 1836. The saucer is in wonderful condition, there are a couple of minor glaze imperfections, little pattern wear, but no chips, cracks or repairs. The rim is double indented and there is a pronounced bowl in the well of the saucer as shown. It measures 15cm in diameter.
