Pair Victorian Floral and Gilt Mantle Jugs

A wonderful decorative pair of Mantle Jugs, designed in the flatback style with no back decoration. The frontal scene shows a floral spray of iris and daffodils, handpainted detail over a transfer background. The two are a mirror pair and designed to be at either end of a shelf. They measure 22cm to lip in height and a width of 11.5cm. There is a mark on the base together with a pattern impress. I am not familiar with the mark. The style and form would suggest a continental maker in the late 1800's.
