This is a vibrant and intricate display plate, made by A. Giraud in Limoge France. The base mark is known to have been used by him in the 1920's and again in the 1970's. The painting, a common theme 'The Two Lovers' is marked Fragonard.
The plate measures 24cm in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
