Taken from a collection of Selected Rimpa School Illustrative paintings. Originally produced on silk, these are reproduced on high gloss quality paper. These paintings have been brought together from various Museum collections to give a look at the Rimpa school over the last 350 years since its conception. This set, which, this is one frame, comprises really diverse images with the common thread of being instantly recognisable as Japanese.
This print is Kikkoden At The Star Festival by Ikeda Koson (1801-1866) Mounted on card and protected in grease proof paper, the full background of the picture is on an information printed on the front cover.
The actual print measures 55cm by 23cm, although the card is about 1.5cm framed all around. I do have all of the prints, only three are framed and glazed, the other prints are card backed with a greaseproof cover, in a presentation tied box. Please ask, if you are interested in see more than one. This is a real treat for the enthusiast.
