A superb Japanese Blue & White charger with a Kappa river scene decoration. Produced at the Arita kiln. There is a repair across the top corner, as shown. Although this does detract from the value, the repair is done to a good standard and does not take away from the overall look of the piece. It is a good size measuring 39cm in diameter, the centre is slight raised. Dating to Meiji period 1868-1912.
