An absolutely lovely Japanese Kutani onion vase, handpainted in burnt orange with gilt trim. Themed with birds and floral decoration, clearly marked on the base and dates to the Meiji period 1868-1912, probably around 1890. There is some slight wear on the neck, as shown. Otherwise in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The vase measures 14cm tall with a maximum diameter of 7cm.
