A lovely German Porcelain cracked egg vase with tripod feet and hand painted in a lovely light cobalt blue. The decoration is gilt trimmed and features birds of paradise and peacocks.
The egg was made by Erdmann Schlegelmilch who produced Porcelain between 1861-1937 in the Thuringia area of Germany. The use the banded shield, similar to the Royal Porcelain factory of Vienna. The main difference is the dot in the lower section.
Generally in good condition, however, some damage to the top rim as shown. The egg still displays well. It measures about 12cm tall with a maximum diameter of around 7.5cm.
