Description 

Japanese Kutani Tea set, decorated with a central gilt motif, chrysanthamum floral border, the main decoration is faces above highly coloured banding, the main background colour is traditional burnt orange.

The set which doesn't include a teapot is in excellent condition unless otherwise stated. The teacups and saucers are eggshell porcelain, they have the 'Foreign' backstamp, which, was used in many Eastern European countries as well as Japan following WWII. This set dates from around 1950.

Serving plate has some minor pattern wear. It measures 23cm in diameter.

Milk Jug, minor pattern wear, it measures 10.5cm tall, with a diameter of 9cm and handle to spout measurement of 11cm.

Sugar Bowl minor pattern wear, it measures 12.25cm in diameter and 5.5cm tall.

The cups, 2 have a good ring when tapped, 2 have tiny nicks in the top rim (not easily seen), 2 cups repaired from severe damage. Each measures 9.5cm in diameter and 5cm tall.

6 saucers and 6 sides, some pattern wear, mainly on the rim otherwise in good condition (all ring).
