Small Royal Worcester Imari display plate. Fromn 1800 up until 1920 the market in the UK was crying out for Oriental porcelain, as a result many of the Briitsh makers began to immitate the oriental styles.
Just the look of this plate shouts Arita, Japan (Imari). There is some pattern wear towards the centre of the plate as shown, this does not detract from a lovely item. A quick check on the Royal Worcester dating system (dots on backstamp) reveals a date for this plate of 1909. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The plate measures 15cm in diameter.
